About Us

Khumbula means “remember”. We help families keep the memories of their loved ones.

Our story

Khumbula means “remember”

Khumbula is the isiZulu word for remember. We started Khumbula because the people we love are more than a name on a stone. Their stories, their jokes, their recipes and their advice should be easy to find and easy to pass on.

Khumbula was started by Jocelyn Glover. We make it simple for any family to create a memorial page and link it to their loved one’s grave with a QR plaque.

What our logo means

The setting sun stands for a life well lived. The birds carry memories to the people who come after. The tree of life has deep roots, and it holds one golden leaf. That leaf is the light each person leaves in the people they loved.

What we believe

How we work

Respect first

We respect every family’s culture, faith and wishes. You see and approve everything before anyone else does.

Easy for everyone

If you can use a phone camera, you can visit a Khumbula page. No apps. No passwords.

Made to last

The QR link never changes and the plaques are strong metal. Their story will still be there for your children and grandchildren.
